The Comfy Elbow Splint is a comfortable, easy to use orthosis geared to stabilizing / increasing elbow extension. These splints prevent elbow contracture, while promoting increased functional positioning. It has a machine washable terry cloth cover made from dri-release material that absorbs moisture and then dissipates it into the atmosphere leaving the splint as dry as possible. Basic to the use of any splint are factors such as p[revention of deformity by proper positioning, support of weakened segments, control or stabilization of joints proximally to those activated or prevention of substitution. The splint may also be used to correct present deformities. They are both therapeutic and functional.
